Suze is the host of a CNBC show “The Suze Orman”. She has also written books which remained “New York Times Best Sellers” for consecutive six years. She has hosted, co-produced and written 6 ‘PBS specials” which are based on those books which she has written. In the public television’s history, she has been very successful fundraiser. She was also proved to be the top seller while hosting the programs at ‘QVC’ which is a top class home-shopping network.
Suze won the daytime “Emmy Awards” in 2004 and 2006 in category “the Outstanding Service Show Host” for the “PBS specials”. She has also won Gracie Awards for six times during her television careers and is holding the record of being a single person having six awards in the thirty four years history of these awards.
She has been name as the 18th on the list of “The Most Influential Media Women” by Forges in July 2009. The University of Illinois has presented an honorary Doctorate degree to Suze. She was named as one of the “Time100, The World’s Most Influential People” by the Time magazine in 2008 and 2009. She was also awarded “Amelia Earhart Award” in April 2008 for her messages of the financial empowerment of women.
Suze declared herself as lesbian to “The New York Times Magazine” in February 2007. Kathy Travis, The Suze Orman Show’s co-producer is her partner for seven years. She expressed her wish that she could marry Kathy in the interview and said that it may save their huge money.
