Anti-Aging - Going to War With Antioxidants

I would be hard-pressed to find anybody who wants to age and look their age. Everybody - if I'm not mistaken, would want to have a longer, healthier life devoid of the debilitating ailments that come with aging. It's a battle we 'can' win if we try to understand how and why the human body ages and how to fight back. This article will discuss ways to fight back with the most powerful arsenal known to man - antioxidants!

I always like to relate aging in humans to a piece of metal discarded someplace outdoors to be exposed to the elements. Metal will rust over time. And likewise, humans will age. In this example, the number one culprit in the destruction of these two guinea pigs, as it were, is free radicals. Free radicals destroy. In the case of metal, a good lick of red-oxide would preserve the metal by blocking the onset of rust. And in the case of humans, antioxidants do the job nicely. Thank goodness for that!
